Standing
Across the next 30 nights, are you above, at, or below the set, and by how much.
Not an average. Your rate against the hotels a traveller compares you with, on the same night, read the same day β plus every channel selling you cheaper than you sell yourself.
Most rate reports compare numbers gathered on different days, at different lengths of stay, from different channels β then average them into a single position. The result is tidy and misleading.
Tharro pairs observations strictly: same stay date, same read date, same occupancy. Where a genuine pair does not exist, it says so rather than filling the gap. You get fewer numbers and every one of them means something.
Across the next 30 nights, are you above, at, or below the set, and by how much.
When a competitor moves, do you follow, lead, or ignore it.
Is anyone selling your rooms below your own direct rate.
Twenty or more channels are captured per hotel per night. When a channel sells your room below your direct price, you see the channel, the night, the gap and the size of it. These are the cheapest wins in the module, because they need a phone call rather than a strategy.
A rate is only high or low relative to what the market is doing. Rate position sits next to source-market demand, the booking window and length-of-stay patterns for the same dates, so the question stops being "are we expensive" and becomes "are we expensive for a week people are actively booking".

Every few days across a forward window of 30 nights, per competitor, per channel.
Your rate comp set β the properties a traveller genuinely compares you against. You define it.
No. An RMS decides what to charge. This tells you where your price sits in the market and where it is being undercut. They complement each other.
Small sets produce honest but cautious verdicts β with only two comparable hotels, the module says the picture is thin rather than issuing a confident call.
A night unavailable at one-night stays is not the same as a sell-out. Restricted nights are marked rather than counted as gaps.
Standing is read direct-to-direct. Parity is read against every channel captured. The two are labelled separately, never blended.
